Building Permits

A Building Permit is required for remodeling, replacement, or repairs over $1,000 in value.  Permits should be requested prior to the start of construction. 

Projects requiring a Building Permit include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Interior remodeling or alterations
• Replacing roofing or siding
• Replacing windows or doors
• Driveway surfacing
• Garages or sheds
• Decks or porches
• Swimming pools
• Furnace replacement
• Air Conditioning replacement
• Fireplace installation
• Signs
• Fences
• Incoming mobile homes

Building Permit Fees:
$10 for the first $1,000 of value, plus $3 for each additional $1,000.
Fees will be doubled if the permit is not obtained in advance.
