Ordinances:
Democracy is a government of laws. Good democracy requires not only good laws, but laws which are readily available in written form to all who are subject to them, to the public officials and police officers who must administer them and to the judges and attorneys who must interpret and apply them.
It is for this reason that the Village Board of the Village of Stratford has adopted a Code of Ordinances. The Code represents the contribution of the Village Board to the democratic and efficient administration of the government and affairs of the Village of Stratford.
The Village of Stratford Code of Ordinances was developed and adopted in 1988. Updates and revisions to the Ordinances are a necessary part of keeping up with changing needs of the Village and its residents. The complete Code of Ordinances is available for review at the Municipal Building during business hours, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday.
